About the course
Making a knife is a multi-part process. It involves a combination of rough shaping work and also fine skills as your knife nears completion. You’ll be guided through choosing your knife design, forging a block of high carbon steel into the knife shape, then heat treat it and grind and shape the blade. You’ll select and fit the handle material, then sharpen the edge. Mono steel is used to forge your blade, but Damascus (pattern welded) is available at extra cost.
